Sending lights into spiritually dark places

Matt / Matayo

“The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14)

Warm greetings from Malawi. Thank you for a great first ten years of ministry!

In the past ten years we have graduated three groups of students from our Bible college, conducted outreaches in 16 villages in 6 different districts of the northern region, built an outreach center in the heart of the Zolozolo ghetto, and began development on a Zolozolo youth center and library as well as a lakeshore retreat center.

We couldn't have done any of that without the beloved people who pray for and support our ministry.

But there are still many, many people who need to hear the Gospel. Witchcraft, gangs, violence, poverty, prostitution, superstition and corruption keep many in darkness and rob them of life.

We want to keep raising up and sending out biblically-trained ministers who can keep spreading the love and good news of Jesus Christ throughout the country.

The advantage of local ministers (as opposed to foreign missionaries like me) is that they know the language, understand all the cultural nuances, and can live out the Gospel among their own communities, clans and tribes.

I have been living in the northern region of Malawi in Southern/Central Africa for the past ten years overseeing our Bible college that equips Malawian believers and then sends them out for ministry.

I am grateful for the prayers and financial support of everyone who makes it possible for me to live on campus with our students, teach the Word of God to them, and prepare them for ministry.

Together we are sending lights into spiritually dark places and seeing the name of Jesus lifted up in the uttermost parts of the earth. Thank you for being part of this ministry with me.
